Art Direction concept and illustration exploring the impact of self-isolation during the coronavirus pandemic. This was created as part of the Art Direction Master’s program for an illustration assignment.
Challenge
TONE - SENSITIVE TOPIC
This was a difficult time for many, with people facing significant mental and emotional challenges. That’s why it was important to adopt a tone that didn’t focus on the negatives, but instead used humour to lighten the mood.
Approach
FRIENDLY & WITTY
The illustration follows the art direction with soft colours and a clean, minimal style. A naive touch adds warmth and friendliness, creating a sense of connection. The artwork reflects our human nature and aims to bring a smile during these tough times.
